The Oklahoma State Cowboys have been heavily impacted since the college basketball transfer portal opened up a couple of weeks ago. While this is incredibly common across college athletics in the current era, it's a bit more valid for Oklahoma State.

The Cowboys parted ways with head coach Mike Boynton Jr. after seven seasons under his leadership. With that, the talents he recruited and brought to Stillwater are leaving the program, which makes sense.

Of those that entered the portal are Javon Small, Quion Williams, Brandon Garrison and Eric Dailey Jr. The two freshman leaving might just hurt the program the most. Boynton did an incredible job bringing both of them to Stillwater.

So far, Dailey has garnered early interest in the portal. Programs like UCLA, Texas A&M, Tennessee, BY, St. John's and UCF have shown interest in Dailey, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. It's no surprise the former four-star and top-100 recruit is getting recruited by these solid programs out of the portal.

Now that the Cowboys have hired their next head coach -- Steve Lutz from Western Kentucky -- a return isn't out of the realm, but it's incredibly unlikely.

In fact, it's been reported that Boynton Jr., the program's former head coach, is expected to join Dusty May's staff at Michigan as an assistant coach. It's more likley Dailey follows him to play for the Wolverines rather than returning to Stillwater.

Dailey averaged 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 22.3 minutes per contest. He appeared in 32 games, earning 16 starts, in his freshman season. Had he gotten more opportunity or played in a system which maximized his talent, Dailey's averaged could have looked much, much better,

It'll be interesting to see where the four impact-players transfer to in the portal this offseason, and it'll be more intruiging to see how Lutz replaces their production.
