STILLWATER -- We're eight days away from the start of the early signing period, Nov. 13-20, and Oklahoma State is set to host another five star recruit.

Monday afternoon, we reported that the Pokes will be hosting Bryce Thompson for the season-opener against ORU on Wednesday. It's huge news as he recently included the Pokes in his top-four schools.

Now, a source close to the program has confirmed that the Cowboys will also be hosting five-star Cade Cunningham on an unofficial visit this weekend for the game against Kansas City.

While it hasn't actually been confirmed yet, our source also told us that there's a really good chance that four-star commit Rondel Walker will also be in for the game against Kansas City.

Walker committed to the Pokes on Oct. 31 and I believe will play a huge role in the recruiting of Cunningham. The two were teammates on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Texas Titans and are close friends. They were also both in Stillwater the same weekend on official visits in early September.

Just as Thompson and Walker, Oklahoma State was the first school to offer Cunningham and Mike Boynton has kept that relationship strong.

Even before I made the move over the Oklahoma State Maven and Sports Illustrated, I had said that Cunningham was coming to Oklahoma State. Obviously, there's no guarantees in the recruiting, but there's a lot of factors to consider for Oklahoma State.

His brother, Cannen Cunningham, was hired as an assistant coach back in the spring, one of his closest friends, Rondel Walker, just committed to the program less than a week ago, and Cunningham would start from day one at Oklahoma State.

Also, combined with the pieces coming back for next season and the rest of the 2020 recruiting class, I believe that Oklahoma State could make a deep run the NCAA Tournament.

Cunningham is ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the country, the No. 1 combo guard and the No. 1 overall prospect out of Texas in the class of 2020 according to 247Sports.

Should Oklahoma State land Cunningham, he would be the highest rated commit since Gerald Green in the class of 2005. Should he commit and decide to enroll and actually play at Oklahoma State, he'd be the highest rated recruit in program history as Green went straight to the NBA.
