Ole Miss Lands Commitment from 2024 7-Footer John Bol

Boasting a 7-9 wingspan and oozing with potential, new Ole Miss Rebels commit John Bol is set to bring tons of excitement to Oxford.

After what's been a successful offseason ahead of the 2023 campaign, Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball is gearing up for the future by securing its second commitment in the 2024 class.

Overtime Elite (Atlanta) 2024 center John Bol announced Monday that he's committing to Ole Miss, joining fellow 2024 OE guard Jason Jackson, who committed to Ole Miss on May 30.

A four-star center per 247Sports' rankings, Bol decommitted from the Florida Gators on June 30. He took an official visit to Oxford on Saturday.

He isn't related to the late great Manute Bol or Orlando Magic center Bol Bol, but still possesses some unreal interior talent that's led him to become a hot target on the recruiting radar for some of the nation's top programs.

“Coach (Al) Pinkins has been recruiting me for a long time and we have a great relationship,” Bol said, per On3. “Coach (Chris) Beard was talking to me some when he was at Texas, too. He’s a great coach. They did really good at building that relationship with me. I love the SEC and Oxford is really nice.”

His original final eight choices released in May didn't even include Ole Miss. Bol was going to choose between the Texas Longhorns, Michigan Wolverines, Missouri Tigers, Florida Gators, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, USC Trojans, UConn Huskies or a professional opportunity with Overtime Elite.

Boasting a 7-9 wingspan and oozing with potential, Bol is set to bring tons of excitement to Oxford.
