Rebels Basketball Opens SEC Tournament vs. South Carolina

The Rebels will try to keep their season alive on Wednesday evening.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Ole Miss Rebels are set to open their time in the SEC Tournament on Wednesday night when they face the South Carolina Gamecocks.

This is a win-or-go-home situation for the Rebels as a loss would end their season with no hopes of reaching a postseason tournament. The Rebels and Gamecocks split their regular season meetings with the road team coming out on top in both matchups.

The primary storyline concerning Ole Miss basketball is not Wednesday night's game however, but the ongoing coaching search to replace the now-fired coach Kermit Davis. It has been reported that the Rebels have met with former Texas Longhorns coach Chris Beard in regards to the opening, but the timeline will likely move at a faster pace once the season has concluded for the program.

Below is a preview of the action set to take place on Wednesday night between Ole Miss and South Carolina.
