Ole Miss Rebels vs. Arkansas Razorbacks Game Predictions

Ole Miss is out to reach a 10-win season for the second straight season under coach Lane Kiffin.

The Ole Miss Rebels will try to bounce back from their loss to Alabama when they travel to face the Arkansas Razorbacks at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The Rebels (8-2, 4-2 in SEC) saw their chances of reaching the SEC Championship Game come to an end on Saturday when they lost to Alabama, 30-24, in Oxford, Miss.

The Rebels can still finish with 10 wins and get an invitation to a top-tier bowl game.

Arkansas (5-5, 2-4) has fallen well below expectations this season. The Razorbacks need to win one of their final two games to reach a bowl game.

Here are the predictions for Saturday's game from The Grove Report staff.

Collier Logan, Staff Writer: Ole Miss may be reeling from its loss to Alabama, but the Rebels will be able to handle the Razorbacks on the road. Ole Miss 30, Arkansas 17

Zack Dimmitt, Staff Writer: Even though they’re ranked No. 14, the Rebels are feeling defeated knowing their chances of making it to the SEC title game are done. But that won’t stop Ole Miss from rolling over the Razorbacks. Ole Miss 37, Arkansas 13

Matthew Postins, Staff Writer: Coach Lane Kiffin is replaying that final series of plays against Alabama in his head on repeat. And he should be. He should have run the ball at least once on those final four plays, the way his offensive line was gashing Alabama. There was enough time to do it. Ole Miss has to get over it, and they should be able to beat Arkansas in a close affair in Fayetteville. Ole Miss 27, Arkansas 24

Cole Thompson, Staff Writer: Will Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin's mind be on Saturday's road trip to Arkansas? Actually, yes. Keep in consideration that thanks to a failed two-point conversion by Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson last season, the narrative was that Ole Miss squeaked by Arkansas at home. Kiffin is here to set the record straight that the Rebels, not the Hogs, are the team on the rise. With a ninth win on the docket, all eyes turn to Oxford as Kiffin looks to become the first coach in Ole Miss history to finish with back-to-back 10-win seasons. Ole Miss 45, Arkansas 28

Connor Zimmerlee, Staff Writer: This game being in Arkansas could make life slightly difficult for Ole Miss, but I don't know just how much it will matter. I trust Ole Miss more in this one, even in a hostile road environment, to get a win over Arkansas. Ole Miss 35, Arkansas 28

Ben King, Staff Writer: With a 10-win season still on the line, the Ole Miss Rebels have enough in the tank to beat the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. It will be a tight contest until the Rebels pull away in the fourth quarter thanks to another big game from running back Quinshon Judkins. Ole Miss 31, Arkansas 21.

Adam Rapier, Staff Writer: A disappointing defeat for the Rebels last week is now a massive chip on their shoulder and it is going to be on full display in Arkansas. The Rebels' offense will be firing on all cylinders, and the defense is going to wreak havoc behind the line of scrimmage and in coverage. Ole Miss 48, Arkansas 28.

John Macon Gillespie, Publisher: This has been a weird week in Oxford. Rumors about Lane Kiffin's future and potential interest in the Auburn job have swirled for a while now, and that could be cause for concern as far as distractions in the locker room are concerned. It's also going to be cold in Fayetteville, a place where Ole Miss typically doesn't play well. Still, I think the Rebels are the better team, and I think they handle business on the road. Ole Miss 38, Arkansas 21
