Ole Miss RB Zach Evans Reveals Which Teams He's Met With at NFL Combine

The former Rebels running back has met with multiple interested teams despite not participating in drills at the NFL Combine.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Former Ole Miss Rebels running back Zach Evans may not be participating in drills at the 2023 NFL Combine, but that hasn't stopped franchises from being interested in his talents.

Evans, hampered by an injury prior to the combine, met with the media this week and went through measurements despite not going through drills. In his media availability, Evans detailed meetings with multiple NFL teams, including the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans.

According to The Draft Network, Evans measured in at 5-foot-11 and 202 pounds at the combine.

As noted above, Evans is currently dealing with an injury, and that has been an issue throughout his college career, first with the TCU Horned Frogs and then last season with Ole Miss. Evans did, however, put up stout numbers for the Rebels when healthy in 2022, rushing for nearly 1,000 yards and helped Ole Miss' offense tally the third-best rushing attack in the country at 256.6 YPG.

Evans was second in rushing for the Rebels last season behind true freshman Quinshon Judkins who put up a monster season in Oxford. Regardless, Evans' talents could transfer well to the NFL if he can stay healthy, and he has certainly attracted the interest of multiple franchises prior to next month's draft.
