Quinshon Judkins Among Highest-Graded True Freshmen by Pro Football Focus
OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Rebels running back Quinshon Judkins was one of the highest-graded true freshmen in the 2022 season, according to Pro Football Focus.
Here's what the publication had to say about the Rebels running back.
T-2. RB QUINSHON JUDKINS, OLE MISS REBELS: 88.2
Jeanty may have graded out higher, but there wasn’t a better true freshman running back than Quinshon Judkins.
The former three-star recruit was a true workhorse for the Rebels this season. He ranked in the top 10 in college football in attempts, rushing yards, yards after contact and forced missed tackles. Judkins also had 91 rushing first downs or touchdowns, which was the fourth most in the country.
Judkins was originally thought to play a secondary role in the backfield behind transfer Zach Evans, but the freshman led the Rebels in rushing this season with 1,612 yards and 16 touchdowns. Alongside grading out highly with Pro Football Focus, Judkins also earned numerous postseason awards for his 2022 efforts, including SEC Newcomer of the Year.
The rising-sophomore is part of a Rebel offense that is entering a potential quarterback competition again this offseason with the incoming transfers of Spencer Sanders (Oklahoma State) and Walker Howard (LSU) along with incumbent starter Jaxson Dart.
