Ole Miss Reveals Uniform Combination For Conference Opener vs. Alabama

The Rebels will be donning classic threads when they take on the Crimson Tide this weekend.

This should come as no surprise, right?

The Ole Miss Rebels have worn the same uniform combination in each of their last four trips to Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide. This Saturday will mark five-straight appearances of this uniform combination in "Title Town."

The Rebels announced their uniform plans for the weekend on Thursday night, electing to don powder blue helmets, white jerseys and gray pants, a throwback look in the uniform arsenal.

Ole Miss last beat Alabama in 2015, but this uniform combination was worn in Tuscaloosa as Chad Kelly and Hugh Freeze took down the Tide.

There have been plenty of headlines surrounding this week's game between the Rebels and Tide, but both head coaches in Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban have heaped praise on one another as game day approaches.

“Lane did a fantastic job here,” Saban said. He also applauded Kiffin for helping revamp the Crimson Tide offensively. “We kind of went from old school ball to modern day ball I want to call it, in terms of doing some things with RPOs and advantage throws and really sort of set us off for the future of what we do on offense and what we’ve been able to do on offense.”

"You continue to be appreciative for the opportunity he gave, but not just that. People give people opportunities all the time," Kiffin said. "But, the things that I learned from him defensively, things I learned from him organizationally, discipline, so I'm extremely grateful to him. He really helped me in a really challenging time in my life.

Ole Miss and Alabama are scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, and the game will be televised on CBS.
