'Soaring!' Rebels' Jaxson Dart Among Top-Ranked QBs For 2024 Season

Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart is among the top-ranked quarterbacks entering the 2024 college football season.

The Ole Miss Rebels have high expectations for the 2024 season, and a lot of that hype is thanks to the return of quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Dart announced his intention to return to Oxford for another season in January, and he is joined by a multitude of talent "running it back" at Ole Miss for a shot at a College Football Playoff berth.

Recently, ESPN released its rankings of the Top 10 quarterbacks in college football for the upcoming season, and Dart came in at No. 6 on the list. You can view an excerpt from the piece below.

"Expectations are soaring for Ole Miss headed into 2024, and it all starts with quarterback Jaxson Dart. Last year, Dart capped the first 11-win season in school history with an impressive performance in a 38-25 win over Penn State in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, throwing for 379 yards with three touchdown passes, while adding a rushing score. In all, Dart threw for 3,364 yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions in his best year to date. Another year under Lane Kiffin and those numbers should improve even further."

The story goes on to point out how much surrounding talent Dart will have at his disposal this season, including wide receivers Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins along with tight end Caden Prieskorn.

The Rebels appear to be a consensus Top 10 team nationally entering spring practice, and they hope to parlay this into their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance in 2024. In fact, Ole Miss has been one of the trendiest picks to reach the newly-expanded playoff field, and with so much returning talent and a plethora of new faces from the transfer portal, it's hard to argue against that.

The Rebels are currently in the midst of spring practice, and Dart is "limited" in his participation due to a procedure he underwent this offseason. Still, once he is back to full speed, the sky looks to be the limit for both him and Ole Miss in 2024.
