Penn State Is Headed Back to the Super Bowl

Penn State football will head to the Super Bowl in 2024 for the 53rd time, as every remaining NFL playoff team rosters a former Nittany Lion. This weekend's NFL Divisional Round of the playoffs will feature 15 former players on all eight teams. Here's how to watch Penn State in the playoffs.

Baltimore Ravens: Defensive end Odafe Oweh, punter Jordan Stout, receiver Dan Chisena
Story lines: Scruggs has been a phenomenal rookie story in Houston, returning from injury to earn a starting spot at guard and playing every snap in the Texans' 45-14 win over Cleveland. "Juice has been doing amazing," Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud said.

Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers

When: 8:15 p.m. ET

Green Bay Packers: Quarterback Sean Clifford, offensive tackle Rasheed Walker.
San Francisco 49ers: Safety Ji'Ayir Brown, defensive tackle Kevin Givens.
Story lines: Brown has been another sharpshooter, becoming the only rookie starter on the 49ers' defense. Brown missed the season's final two regular-season games with a knee injury but is poised to return after a first-round bye. Also, Clifford ended a long Penn State drought in the Packers' huge win over Dallas.

Detroit Lions: Fullback Jason Cabinda
Story lines: Godwin caught four passes, one for a touchdown, in Tampa's win over Philadelphia. He also showed up on the Bucs' Thursday injury report with a knee injury but should be good for Sunday's game.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills

When: 6:30 p.m. ET

Kansas City Chiefs: Offensive tackle Donovan Smith
Buffalo Bills: Offensive lineman Ryan Bates, defensive lineman DaQuan Jones, offensive lineman Connor McGovern
Story lines: McGovern, who signed with the Bills after beginning his career in Dallas, has been pretty open about how much he values the coaching in Buffalo. McGovern also reunited with former Penn State line mate Ryan Bates in Buffalo.
