Welcome to Penn State Maven! Here’s what you can expect from our coverage

Howdy, Penn State fans.

Welcome to Penn State Maven, a new site on the Sports Illustrated network, which I hope will become your hub for all things Nittany Lions.

Here’s basically how everything will work:

I’ll be covering the football, men’s hockey and men’s basketball programs, and hope to add a team of reporters to help cover wrestling and recruiting.

Expect thorough coverage from every game, lots of video, plenty of well-reported features, notebooks from each media availability, podcasts, a weekly mailbag, and more. And in addition to our own coverage, your feed will include a bunch of stories and tweets from other writers on the beat.

The goal is make Penn State Maven your go-to source for Penn State coverage by creating the most comprehensive outlet around. There's no sign up fee, so just visit the page and enjoy our content.

We also want this to be an interactive experience. Have a take about a player, a question you think I can answer, an objection to something I wrote, a story you really like from another beat writer or even just a thought in general? It’s super easy to create a post on our “Community” tab, and we encourage you to chime in whenever you feel like it.

So click the follow button located in the upper right corner, bookmark the page and become a part of our community. I’d also recommend following us on Twitter (@PSUMavenSI) and downloading our mobile app.

I couldn’t be more excited about this project and hope that you’ll give us a chance to become your trusted source for Penn State athletics coverage.
