Years-Long Relationship With Tiquan Underwood Brought Bub Means to Pitt Football

During his second stint in the transfer portal, Jerrod "Bub" Means found something familiar with the Pitt Panthers.

During his second stint in the transfer portal, Jerrod "Bub" Means found something familiar. The man now in his first year as Pitt football's wide receivers coach, Tiquan Underwood, had already built a relationship with Means and kept in touch when he was back in the portal and ready to leave Lousiana Tech.

Now with the Panthers, Means is expected to carry a heavy load as his team seeks to replace All-American wideout Jordan Addison, who infamously transferred to USC this offseason. While it's unrealistic to expect any one pass-catcher on Pitt's roster to recreate the masterful 1,593-yard and 17-touchdown season, but Means believes that his team has enough talent to do so.
