Former Pitt CB Darrelle Revis Inducted to Pro Football Hall of Fame

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will be well-represented in the Pro Football Hall of Fame's class of 2023. Former Panthers corner and Aliquippa, Pennsylvania native Darelle Revis was selected from the group of 15 Modern Era finalists to join the most distinguished group of former players out there.

Revis is the 10th former Pitt player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The Panthers entered this year tied for fifth among all college football programs in Hall of Famers and tied Ohio State's 11 selections with Revis.
Revis played three seasons in the blue and gold but earned a reputation as a lockdown corner and dangerous punt returner. He made 80 tackles and picked off eight passes - two of which he returned for touchdowns - before being selected with the 14th overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2007 Draft.
He became one of the best defensive backs in NFL history at the end of his 11-year career. He went to seven Pro Bowls, made four All-Pro teams and won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in 2014. He was named to the 2007 All-Rookie team, made the NFL top-100 players list in six different seasons and sits tied for 19th in career passes defended.
