There will be a couple of familiar faces on the South Carolina roster when Beville arrives, with former Pitt linebacker Bangally Kamara and defensive tackle Deandre Jules having committed to join the Gamecocks already this offseason.
Beville was rated as high as a four-star prospect and ranked as high as the No. 4 player in his state and No. 11 quarterback in the class of 2019 coming out of Greenville High School in Greenville, South Carolina.
He played in just two games this past season for Oklahoma and did not attempt a pass, but ran three times for seven yards, all in the season opener against Arkansas State.
Beville appeared in nine games as a Panther during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, completing 22 of 32 passes for 237 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
He played in relief of the injured Nick Patti in the 2021 Peach Bowl and completed 14 of 18 passes for 149 yards, an interception and a touchdown, with his lone passing score to Jared Wayne giving the Panthers a 14-10 lead at halftime over the then-No. 10 Michigan State.
