Pitt Offers Elon Transfer TE

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are exploring the far reaches of the transfer portal and that search has brought them upon a former all-league tight end from the FCS level.
Pitt extended an offer to former Elon tight end Johncarlos Miller II this week, hoping to add some depth to a tight ends room that lost a veteran backup this offseason.
Miller earned first-team All-Coastal Athletic Association this past season after setting career-highs in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns and started 11 games as a freshman. Over 25 career games at Elon, Miller has caught 52 passes for 652 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 6'4, 242-pound redshirt sophomore has also picked up offers from Houston, Texas Tech, Arkansas State, West Virginia and UConn.
The Panthers have some continuity at the top of the tight end depth chart heading into the offseason. Both starting tight end Gavin Bartholomew and second-stringer Karter Johnson have announced that they will return to Pitt in 2024.
