Pitt Still Projected to Make Bowl Game

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are reeling after back-to-back losses, the latest of which came in embarrassing fashion to West Virginia in the 106th Backyard Brawl.
The season outlook has changed dramatically since training camp for Pitt, but they are still projected to make a bowl game, according to Action Network's Brett McMurphy, who has the Panthers slated to face Memphis in the Military Bowl in his latest postseason projections.
The Military Bowl is slated to be played on December 27th at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. A kickoff time has yet to be determined. McMurphy has Pitt pegged as 1.5-point underdogs in that game.
The Panthers played in the Military Bowl during head coach Pat Narduzzi's first season at the helm. Pitt lost, 28-44 to then No. 21 Navy, who was playing in their home stadium.
Quadree Henderson took the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to give the Panthers a lightning-quick lead but the Midshipmen rushed for 417 yards and five touchdowns behind a confusing triple-option attack that left Pitt a step slow.
