Four-Star WR Micah Gilbert Put Pitt in Top Seven

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- Pitt Panthers wide receivers coach Tiquan Underwood has been busy during the hours not filled with spring practices. He's been hard at work trying to build the next class of Pitt wideouts and he is hot on the trail of making another big addition.
Micah Gilbert, a consensus four-star wideout from Charlotte Christian High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, released a top seven this weekend that included Pitt alongside Michigan, Notre Dame, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Duke.

Gilbert, a top-10 player in North Carolina's 2024 class and top-50 player at his position in this class, trimmed his offer sheet from 21 to seven. Cincinnati, West Virginia, Virginia, Penn State, BYU, Missouri, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Tennessee, Maryland and Wake Forest were some of the schools that offered but did not make the cut.
Gilbert has caught 79 passes for 1,020 yards and nine touchdowns over the past two seasons. He missed the end of his junior season with a wrist injury. The 6'3, 203-pound jump ball specialist plays basketball, earning time on varsity all three years and averaging 15.5 points per game last season.
