PITTSBURGH -- As the Pitt Panthers opened spring practices, they had a special visitor looking on. They welcomed the top recruit in the state of Pennsylvania to their facilities on Pittsburgh's South Side as they began to practice for the first time as a full team.

Quinton Martin, a four-star athlete from Belle Vernon High School in nearby Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, was with the Panthers for their first spring practice of the year. Pitt was the first Power 5 school to extend an offer to him and head coach Pat Narduzzi has made in-person visits to his school for basketball games.

Each of the four major recruiting sites - 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN and On3 - have him as a four-star recruit. He rushed for 1,274 yards and 22 touchdowns and caught 424 yards and six touchdowns as a junior at Belle Vernon. He holds offers from Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin, among others.
