PITTSBURGH -- A four-star Pitt Panthers target will push his commitment back just slightly. He's still committing next week but wanted just a little more time.

Elias Rudolph, a four-star defensive end from Deerfield Beach, Florida, said he will make his college decision on July 3rd at Taft High School, but do it at 7 p.m. as opposed to earlier in the evening as he previously planned.

Pitt made Rudolph's top five in May and earned a visit from the blue-chip defensive end in early June. He also visited Penn State and Michigan, who made his list of finalists alongside Ohio State and Cincinnati. He opted not to take an official visit to Columbus last week.

Rudolph held offers from Florida State, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Iowa, Purdue, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Boston College, West Virginia and others that he spurned for those five finalists.

Rudolph, a 6'3 and 200-pound backer, is ranked as high as the No. 4 player in the talent-rich Sunshine State (Rivals) and No. 15 linebacker (247Sports). ESPN ranks them as high as the No. 150 player in the country.
