Pitt Target Terhyon Nichols Sets Commitment Date

PITTSBURGH -- This has been a busy week for the Pitt Panthers, who are set to hear final decisions from a number of their 2024 recruiting targets and it appears that next week will be just as loaded.
Pitt is among those finalists for four-star defensive back Terhyon Nichols out of Winthrow University High School in Ohio. He'll pick from a final six that includes the Panthers alongside Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Cincinnati and Kentucky. Nichols will announce his final decision on July 2 at 7 p.m.

Nichols is a top-20 player in the state of Ohio, ranked as high as the No. 7 player in the state by On3, who also ranked him the No. 24 cornerback in the class and No. 187 overall player in the class.
He holds offers from Michigan, Pitt, Penn State, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Alabama, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Louisville, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Duke, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Illinois, West Virginia, Boston College and others.
Nichols has taken visits to Pitt, Penn State, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Kentucky and Ohio State this past spring and summer.

Stephen Thompson graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications and political science from Pitt in April 2022 after spending four years as a sports writer and editor at The Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh's independent, student-run newspaper.
