LOOK: Purdue Fans Flock to Airport to Welcome Home Boilermaker Basketball Team

Purdue fans flocked to the airport in West Lafayette to welcome home the Boilermakers after an incredible March Madness run. This season, Purdue went 34-5, won a Big Ten regular season title and played in the national championship.

The Purdue faithful continued to share their support for the men's basketball team on Tuesday evening. Fans flocked to the airport in West Lafayette to celebrate the Boilermakers' run to the national championship game.

Purdue reached the Final Four for the first time since 1980 and played in its first national championship since 1969. Fans wanted to celebrate this incredible season by greeting the team at the airport as the Boilers returned home from Phoenix.

Several photos and videos surfaced on social media from the team's return on Tuesday evening.

The 2023-24 Purdue basketball season is one of the most memorable in program history. The Boilermakers had an incredible run in the NCAA Tournament, bouncing back from last year's devastating first-round defeat to Fairleigh Dickinson.

Purdue won a Big Ten regular season title for a second consecutive season and Zach Edey was named the Naismith National Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. The Boilermakers finished the season 34-5 and national runners-up in.

When players, coaches and staff exited the plane, fans gave them a great welcoming.

It was incredibly cool to see fans flock to the airport to welcome home the Boilers have such a memorable run in March Madness. This won't be a season anyone forgets anytime soon.
