How To Watch: South Carolina Vs. Missouri

South Carolina's men's basketball team will get a chance to complete their first season sweep on Saturday when they play the Missouri Tigers.

Coming into this week, there was one persistent question that was hanging over Lamont Paris and the South Carolina Gamecocks collective heads: can they win a big game over a nationally-recognizable brand like Kentucky? Answering that question with an emphatic yes, Carolina now enters tomorrow's game against Missouri with a new question being asked of them: can they avoid an emotional let-down game against a team whose backs are against the wall?

The Tigers enter this game having yet to win a single conference game, and after losing to South Carolina by one point in overtime just a couple of weekends ago, Dennis Gates' squad may feel this is one of if not there last shot to get their season back on track. Much like we discussed before their last meeting, the Gamecocks could put themselves in good position to take of business on Saturday afternoon if they can drive to the basket and draw fouls from Missouri.

Defensively, their primary goal will have to be slowing down Tamar Bates, who's averaging a whopping 19.3 points per game in six SEC games, shooting 57.1 percent from the floor. If they can do that and force Sean East II and the rest of the Tigers to have to play in isolation in the half-court, it should right into South Carolina's favor.
