South Carolina's men's basketball team, as expected, remained in the top 25 of the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls.

After breaking a program record for wins in a regular season (25) and tying the single-season record for most SEC road wins (7), the South Carolina Gamecocks are heading into SEC Tournament week with their heads held high, even though they were unable to secure a double-bye due to the conference's tiebreaker rules. The Gamecocks also remained in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Polls on Monday afternoon due to their efforts against No. 4 Tennessee and Mississippi State last week.

While South Carolina didn't budge from their No. 16 spot in the USA Today poll, they did moved up two spots to No. 15 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. This makes it six straight weeks that the Gamecocks have been ranked in either major poll, which surpasses the longest stretch that the 2017 Final Four squad was ranked (5 weeks). Lamont Paris and his team will play the winner of the Arkansas - Vanderbilt game in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday afternoon.
