South Carolina Offers Trending 2025 DL Christian Garrett
South Carolina recently filled its vacant defensive tackles coach with Travian Robertson. Robertson has already hit the ground running on the recruiting trail, dispensing an offer to Georgia Native Christain Garrett on Wednesday morning.
In just a month, Christian Garrett, a 2025 defensive lineman from Georgia, has accumulated five offers from Tennessee, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt. Garrett started 2023 with zero power-five offers and is now a target for multiple SEC schools, including the Gamecocks.
Garrett's sophomore season saw the young athlete achieve a few significant feats. He was named a sophomore All-American and helped his high school team pick up a 5-A Georgia state championship in football. His impressive work this season has turned a few heads in college football.
The 6-4 286-pound lineman would be valuable to any team's defensive line. He typically lines up as a defensive tackle, but he is quick and athletic enough to move to defensive end and still make an impact.
Garrett's strength lies in his run-stopping ability. His long wingspan and excellent upper-body strength allow him to control the offensive lineman and stonewall ball carriers near the line of scrimmage. He also utilizes his speed, which is quite impressive for a man of his size, to track down runners in the backfield.
His pass rush still needs some work, but he possesses the tools and intangibles to be a menace to opposing quarterbacks. His speed and strength offer hope that he can become more explosive with his first step, which would make it much easier for him to be a disruptor to the quarterback.
His recent performances at various camps offer signs of progress in his pass-rush ability. At specific camps such as the Georgia Elite Classic and the All-American Combine, Garrett showcased excellent work in his one-on-ones, consistently beating out opposing offensive linemen with his strength and reach. If he can keep developing his pass rush, he could become an All-SEC caliber talent.
Garrett is still very early in his recruitment, but recent developments may accelerate the process. In just a few days, Garrett has picked up multiple offers, and there is little reason to expect that to stop. Although he is just a sophomore in high school, Christian Garrett is an-under a radar name who could jump to the top of some recruiting boards in the very near future.
