Social media reacts to Pac-12's statement amid expansion rumors

In this story:
The Pac-12 is coming off of a year that saw the conference be at its most competitive from top to bottom in possibly a decade.
The conference's strong showing in a way swept the rumors and possibility of its collapse under the rug for quite some time. That was until the Big 12 jumped them in line and secured a media rights deal first, and most recently is getting $100 million from Texas and Oklahoma as they jump to the SEC.
Now there have been expansion rumors swirling around, with all eyes on San Diego State and SMU, but there are also notes of the Big 12 looking to poach four teams from the Pac-12. The conference out West has found themselves hanging on for dear life, and the Big 12 is looking to be the Scar to the Pac-12's Mufasa.
In order to stave off the rumors and possibly put on a brave face, the Pac-12 released a statement on Monday revealing how "united" the remaining 10 schools are as the conference works on its media rights deal and expansion. A statement that has only led to people in the college football world to be more concerned about the future of the Conference of Champions.
Let's take a look at some of the best and most interesting reactions following the Pac-12's statement.

This feels like when owners put out a “vote of confidence” for a head coach a month before firing them.
