Stanford receiver Tiger Bachmeier highlighted as a freshman who can be a factor in 2023

In this story:
At programs all over the country it is a commonality for incoming freshmen to enroll early and partake in spring ball.
The same cannot be said for Stanford, who is one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the country. In the past two years they have had just a combined two early enrollees on campus for spring ball, with last year being linebacker David Bailey and this year being wide receiver Tiger Bachmeier.
The move paid dividends for Bailey who was a starter on day one for the Cardinal and had a productive freshman season, and there is a belief that it will also help Bachmeier work his way onto the field. The four-star pass catcher out of Murrieta, California was receiving valuable reps during spring ball and new head coach Troy Taylor spoke highly of him.
On top of being one of the three freshmen I highlighted that I think could have a major role for Stanford in year one, On3 recently highlighted him as a true freshman positioned to be a factor for their team in 2023. Matt Zenitz cited his high school success and beliefs around the program that he could possibly become a starter at some point.
Something that wouldn't come as a surprise for the Cardinal as the 6-foot-1 wideout is renowned for his route running, and for his ability to fight through contact.
As it stands right now, there are still a ton of position battles to be settled for Stanford such as quarterback, the offensive line, and all over the secondary. The receiver battle is another one to watch out for, with Bachmeier having a chance to step up right away.
Taylor's offense is very pass catcher friendly, as his Sacramento State team this past season had five players with at least 30 catches on the year. So, even if Bachmeier doesn't start right away, he will certainly be in the mix to make some grabs.
