Earlier in December, the Los Angeles Lakers won what was the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament Championship over the Indiana Pacers.

This season marked the first time that the NBA had done something like this with the hopes of drawing in more fans to regular season basketball, while also making sure players were vested in actually putting forth effort in the regular season as well. While the idea, product, and overall results appeared to resonate with fans, there is something that isn't sitting right with some people which is the fact a banner is being hung.

While the support for the tournament was there, fans and analysts don't fully seem to be on board with treating it like it's an NBA title. Something that Richard Sherman revealed would disgust the late Kobe Bryant, who talked about the Lakers being above hanging banners for anything other than a championship.

The Lakers have dropped three of their last four games since winning the tournament, and on Monday hung their banner for the In-Season Tournament.
