Before their road trip to Baton Rouge, the Texas A&M Aggies (16-7, 8-2 SEC) are set to host the Auburn Tigers (17-6, 7-3 SEC) in a battle for third place in the conference.

In their last outing, the Aggies handily beat Georgia to regain momentum lost in their loss against Arkansas, and are looking to earn back-to-back wins against the Tigers, who they beat earlier in the season.

Auburn is coming off of a tough loss to Tennessee that knocked them out of the top-25 but looks to bounce back and keep up their stellar performance in conference play on the road.

In the two teams' last meeting, Texas A&M out-rebounded Auburn and held sophomore forward Johni Broome to 16 points in the loss. Broome was one of two Tigers in double-digit scoring, and while the Aggies also only had two, Radford dropped 30 points in the statement win to give the win to his team.

Key to the second matchup for Texas A&M will be finding ways around Auburn in the paint — as the Tigers tallied 10 blocks compared to the Aggies' one. If Texas A&M can get its forward duo of Henry Coleman III and Julius Marble going early, it could be a long night for the visiting Auburn squad.

LIVE GAME UPDATES WILL APPEAR HERE AFTER TIP-OFF...

Auburn takes the tip and Wendell Green Jr pushes the ball to the paint for an easy layup to start the scoring. Allen Flanigan scores on a dunk for the Tigers before Wade Taylor IV drains a 3-pointer to keep the Aggies close at 4-3. Then Julius Marble took an assist from Taylor for an easy layup and the lead. 15:54 First Half: Aggies 5, Tigers 4

Dexter Dennis added a jumper and a layup while Flanigan stayed hot with a layup and a foul shot. Auburn's K.D. Johnson hit a 3-pointer just before the TV timeout for a tie game. 11:47 First Half: Aggies 10, Tigers 10

Jaylin Williams got in on the 3-point parade for the Tigers and Andersson Garcia scored a layup for the Aggies. Jeohni Broome and Lior Berman scored to give Auburn a six-point lead at the TV timeout. 8:24 First Half: Tigers 20, Aggies 14

Broome slammed home a dunk and Greene nailed a 3-pointer before Taylor answered with a 3-pointer of his own to get the Aggies to within nine at 27-18. Flanigan and Radford exchanged buckets as the Tigers are on a 19-6 run since the 9:54 mark. 3:36 First Half: Tigers 34, Aggies 27

Dexter Dennis added a layup followed by a Marble deuce and a Taylor 3-pointer that tied the game at 34. Gordon added a 3 for Aggies lead. Broome stopped the bleeding for the Tigers with a layup just before the half. HALFTIME: Aggies 37, Tigers 36

Julius Marble scored first in the second half to extend the A&M lead. But the Tigers rattled off eight straight by Broome, Jasper, and Williams for a 44-39 Auburn lead. Garcia finally scored for the Aggies on a layup. Jasper and Green tacked on five more for the Tigers before the TV timeout. 15:17 Second Half: Tigers 49, Aggies 41

A&M's Garcia and Auburn's Green traded foul shots and Green and Solomon traded layups to keep the scoring going. Flanigan extended the Auburn lead to five with two more free throws. 11:48 Second Half: Tigers 54, Aggies 51

Dexter Dennis hit two free throws but Jaylin Williams answered with a 3-pointer. The Aggies were nailing their foul shots and the Tigers were getting comfortable in the offensive paint, scoring at will. A&M is shooting 38.6 percent while Auburn is at 46.2 percent. 1:50 Second Half:  Aggies 78, Tigers 76

The two teams traded misses and blocked shots for the next minute-plus until Tyrece Radford made two free throws with 24 seconds left to extend the lead to four. Then Auburn played the foul game. Garcia hit another free throw with 17 seconds left. FINAL: Aggies 83, Tigers 78
