The No. 24 Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team held on to beat the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide 67-61 inside Reed Arena in the regular season finale in College Station on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide have already wrapped up the regular season championship by virtue of a 90-85 win over Auburn on Wednesday night.

But that didn't stop the Aggies from showing Alabama what they'll be up against in the upcoming SEC Tournament.

A&M held a comfortable 10-point halftime lead at the half, 32-22, but against the No. 2 ranked team in the country, the Aggies knew there was no time to relax.

Behind a career-high 28 points from guard Wade Taylor IV, the Aggies fended off a fierce rush by the Crimson Tide late in the second half.

But late calls against Alabama's Brandon Miller caused him to foul out with 1:59 left and turnovers inside three minutes remaining handcuffed the Crimson Tide.

Aggies guard Tyrece Radford added 21 points and seven rebounds, all defensive, while registering four assists and three steals. Guard Dexter Dennis was the only other Aggies player in double digits with 11, while also contributing seven rebounds

Before fouling out, Miller led the way for the Crimson Tide with a double-double, scoring 19 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Jahvon Quinerly added 12 points and Noah Clowney scored 11 to go along with seven rebounds.

The SEC men's basketball tournament tips off on Wednesday in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena.
