BREAKING: Former Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett Suspended Indefinitely by the NFL

COLLEGE STATION - The question was never if but rather when. When would the NFL decide what to do about Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett altercation on Thursday evening against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In less than 24 hours, the league made their decision, likely costing Garrett more than just the thought of feeling guilty for his actions.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rappaport, Garrett will be suspended indefinitely, missing the remainder of the 2019 season. Fellow Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi received a one-game suspension while Steelers' offensive lineman received a three-game suspension. Both teams were fined $250,000 for their antics on Thursday evening.
"Garrett has been suspended without pay indefinitely - at the minimum for the remainder of the regular season and postseason - and must meet with the commissioner's office prior to his reinstatement," a representative of the NFL sent out Friday morning. "Garrett violated unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct rules, as well as fighting, removing the helmet of an opponent and using the helmet as a weapon."
During the fourth quarter, Garrett would try to tackle Steelers' quarterback Mason Rudolph, leading to an altercation between the two. The former Texas A&m star would remove Rudolph's helmet and later hit him over the head before being pinned to the ground by Steelers' offensive lineman David DeCastro.
Garrett will finish the 2019 season with 20 solo tackles, 10 sacks and two forced fumbles. He currently was tied for fourth in league with sacks on the season. Browns' coach Freddie Kitchens has yet to comment at this time.
Garrett spent three seasons as a member of the Texas A&M defensive line, earning a reputation as an elite pass rusher. Throughout his Aggie career, the now 23-year-old defender tallied 141 total tackles, 47 tackles for losses, 31 sacks, seven forced fumbles and an interception.
He was selected first overall by the Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft.
