'Best in the League!' Myles Garrett Highest AP First-Team All-Pro Vote-Getter Among Edge Rushers

Texas A&M Aggies NFL star Myles Garrett was voted first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press on Friday.

There are few Texas A&M Aggies in the NFL who have had the impact on the field that Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett has had during his time in the league. 

And after a stellar 2023 regular season, he is now getting the recognition, being voted first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press on Friday. 

Garrett was also the leading vote-getter among all edge rushers on the ballot, beating out the likes of Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons, Steelers edge T.J. Watt and Raiders star Maxx Crosby.

"To get so wrapped up as we do as a football society when it comes to sacks, I mean, just talk about the guy that affects the game, that pressures the quarterback, that plays the run, that plays with unbelievable effort," Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said. "(Garrett) is the best player on the best defense in the league right now. Go put the tape on. ... watch how they try to block him."

Garrett has been consistently dominant in his seven seasons with the Browns, now earning All-Pro nods in five of those seven seasons, including winning AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. 

This season, He has been as good as ever, making 42 tackles with 14 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, 30 QB hits and four forced fumbles. 

Per Pro Football Focus, Garrett also had a career-high 86 quarterback pressures this season.

Garrett and the Browns will head to Houston this weekend to take on the Texans in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs.
