It's pretty safe to say that the 2022 season for the Texas A&M Aggies football program was a massive disappointment considering the expectations in College Station headed into the year.

So it doesn't come as much surprise that ESPN is all over the Aggies when it comes to being the team with the most to prove. However, most of the heat is falling in the lap of coach Jimbo Fisher.

The site did a round-table questionnaire with various writers focusing on teams, coaches and players that have the most to prove next season.

When asked about which coach has the most to prove, three of the eight responses thought Fisher qualified.

"Texas A&M isn't paying Fisher $95 million to lose four games or more, but that's exactly what he has done in four of his five seasons," one response said. " ... Few FBS schools have spent more on coaching staff and facilities than the Aggies, and their collectives are doling out more money in NIL packages to recruits than just about anyone else. What do they have to show for it?"

The Aggies were also brought up when discussing the teams with the most to prove. But ultimately, it appears the spotlight for improvement will fall on Fisher until he lives up to his massive contract.
