There is no denying that the 2022 season was one the Texas A&M Aggies are in a hurry to forget. After all, going 5-7 after high offseason expectations is a disappointment no matter how you spin it.

However, even with said disappointing record, the Aggies were not lacking for talent on their roster - with a trio of Aggies selected in CBS Sports' latest three-round mock draft

The first one to hear their name called in this mock draft is versatile safety Antonio Johnson, who goes to the Green Bay Packers in with pick No. 45 in the second round.

Johnson was an anchor for the Aggies' secondary, helping to lead one of the best defenses in college football. As a junior, he recorded 71 total tackles with five tackles for loss and one sack.

He also had a pass defended and forced three fumbles, showcasing an ability to get downhill and make a tackle while also stopping the pass in the secondary.

Joining Johnson in this mock is Devon Achane as a second-round pick at No. 60 to the Cincinnati Bengals and Jaylon Jones in the third round with pick No. 82 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In a deep running back class, it has been easy for Achane to go under the radar in some mock drafts, which could benefit the Bengals. The speedster rushed for 1,102 yards and eight touchdowns in his final season and could provide a boost to a Bengals team that could release Joe Mixon this offseason.

As for Jones, he joins a Buccaneers secondary that held opponents to 203.6 yards per game through the air in 2022. He only recorded 33 tackles with two passes defended and a fumble recovery last season, but joining the Buccaneers could allow him to transition smoothly to the NFL.

The Aggies will undoubtedly have multiple players hear their names called when the draft kicks off in April, even if they don't have a first-round selection.
