Former Aggies WR Christian Kirk 'Disrespected' in NFL?

In this story:
Former Texas A&M and current Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk might be just now coming into his own in the NFL. Kirk spent his first four seasons as a professional in Arizona as a member of the Cardinals but has now moved on to Jacksonville.
Kirk played second fiddle to bigger names on the offense with the Cardinals but very quietly signed a four-year, $72 million deal with the Jags as a free agent last offseason. It was an offseason where not many teams came calling or showed interest.
Kirk spoke with FanDuel TV on Monday about the perceived lack of interest from teams and his performance this year.
“Well, it’s funny because I still feel like I don’t get the respect that I deserve, and it’s kind of been that way,” Kirk said. “And, you know, with all the noise and after I signed my deal this offseason, it was the loudest.
"Now, especially with the season that I had, it started getting real quiet and everybody kind of hushed a little bit. But I just, I want my respect. I feel like I’m one of the best receivers in the NFL. And that’s the way I play. That’s the chip that I carry on my shoulder and I’m gonna keep earning it.”
Kirk ranked among the top receivers in the league by posting career-highs with 84 catches for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns while helping the Jaguars to a surprising AFC South title and a playoff berth. Kirk added five carries for 11 yards on the ground.
Against the Chargers in the Wild Card round, Kirk added another 15 catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns in Jacksonville's historic comeback win.
The Jaguars will have plenty of offensive weapons in 2023 in Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones, and possibly Evan Engram if they choose to re-sign him. But Kirk has earned the respect of not just the Jags, but the rest of the NFL.
