For those who know the program best, Micheal Clemons' emergence in the NFL comes as little surprise. So far, the former Texas A&M defensive end has been a staple in a limited role for the New York Jets.

Clemons earned high praise from Pro Football Focus for his efforts during his rookie season, garnering a 78.7 total grade. Clemons was often used as a third-down specialist on rushing sets to add more bulk to Robert Saleh's front seven.

As a rookie, Clemons played in 311 total snaps. He registered 36 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 16 games. Clemons finished with four tackles in three different games and played 40 percent of defensive snaps during that same span.

Clemons, a sixth-year veteran for the Aggies, returned to College Station for the 2021 season despite nabbing interest in the NFL. As the leader of then-defensive coordinator Mike Elko's unit, the 24-year-old finished with career-highs in sacks (7.0) and tackles for losses (11) en route to an 8-4 record.

Clemons was selected with the 117th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He excelled as a run defender toward the season's end, earning a PFF run grade of 86.8.

Texas A&M had four players selected in the draft last April, with offensive lineman Kenyon Green going No. 15 overall to the Houston Texans. Green, a two-time All-American with the Aggies, struggled in pass-blocking sets at left guard, finishing with a PFF pass grade of 27.0. He was credited for allowing 47 pressures on 525 pass-blocking snaps and recorded 12 penalties in a less-than-stellar rookie season.

Defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal was selected in the third round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Primarily serving as a tweener-type in Mike Tomlin's 3-4 defensive look, Leal found more success as a pass-rusher than a run-stopper, recording 11 QB pressures and three pass deflections.

Running back Isaiah Spiller was limited in the Los Angeles Chargers' backfield due to veteran play from Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley. He totaled 18 carries for 41 yards in four games, averaging 2.3 yards per attempt.
