The TCU Horned Frogs will be looking to get their first road win of conference play, when they travel to take on Houston. This marks the first time the teams have played in over 11 years and the first time since the Cougars joined the Big 12.

The Horned Frogs have fallen out of the top 25 for this matchup, and have struggled to start conference play, going 1-3 this season. The Cougars are also 1-3 in Big 12 play and have been led by Laila Blair. The Cougars have averaged over 75 points per game and are out-scoring opponents past the three-point line.

With the absence of Sedona Prince (hand injury), The Horned Frogs will again need big performances from Madison Conner and Agnes-Emma Nnopu. Alliyah Roberson, following a 15-point game against Texas, will also be looking to replicate a double-digit point performance.

TCU and Houston both play a similar style of offense, moving the ball around and creating opportunities behind the three-point line, with both teams averaging about 75 points a game. The significant difference between the teams is that the Horned Frogs only allow 56 points per game to their opponent, while the Cougars allow 65 points per game. The Horned Frogs must play stellar perimeter defense to slow down Houston's shooting ability.

Players to Watch For

Madison Conner (TCU)- 21 points per game, 40% three-point made percentage.

Jaden Owens (TCU)- Leads team in assists, 80% free throw percentage

Aaliyah Roberson (TCU)- Leads team in field goal percentage, shooting 60%

Laila Blair (Houston)- Leads the team in scoring with 15 points per game

Maliyah Johnson (Houston)- Team-leading three-point shooter, 38% from beyond the arc

The game will be played in Houston at the Fertitta Center on January 13 at 2 p.m.
