TCU Golf: Women and Men's Golf Postseason Update

TCU Men's Golf Postseason
The TCU men's golf team earned a trip to the NCAA Regional at the Auburn University Club, where they fell short of making the NCAA Golf Championships. The Horned Frogs concluded the tournament 31-over and placed ninth, just short of the top five, which would have advanced them to the NCAA Championships. No. 13 Auburn won the regional on their home course and was the only team participating to finish under par.
Senior Aymeric Laussot was the top finisher for the Frogs, finishing 5-over, tying for 23rd Place overall. Freshman Maxence Giboudot had TCU's best final day round shooting a 1-over 73, which included an even par back nine score. Giboudot was nine over in his first NCAA Regional. Seniors Gustav Frimodt and Brent Hamm tied for 43rd PlacePlace at 11-over for the tournament. Even Though the men's golf team did not finish as they had hoped, they still had a great season full of memories.

This was the TCU's men's golf team's 32nd NCAA Regional appearance in the last 33 seasons and the final one with Coach Bill Montigel, who coached this team for the previous 36 years. Coach Montigel is a seven-time conference coach of the year who led TCU to eight conference titles, eighteen NCAA Championship appearances, and thirty-two regional bids. He also coached successful PGA Tour Golfers J.J. Henry and Tom Hoge. He installed such a huge impact and has set the tone for TCU golf and athletics in general. He will always be part of the Horned Frog family, and I wish him the best of luck in whatever is next for him!
Coach Bill Montigel - Thank you for your 45 years of service to TCU Athletics, the past 36 as head men’s golf coach.
