The Tennessee Volunteers are set to attempt to get their payback on the South Carolina Gamecocks after dropping the first matchup by a score of 63-59 at home on Tuesday, January 30th.

The Volunteers enter this game ranked No. 4 in the nation. They come from a six-game winning streak in which they defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks, Vanderbilt Commodores, Missouri Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, Auburn Tigers, and Alabama Crimson Tide. The expected No. 1 seed in the SEC tournament is set to face South Carolina before participating in their regular-season finale against the Kentucky Wildcats.

The South Carolina Gamecocks enter this game ranked No. 17 in the nation with a win over the Volunteers already this season. They come from a three-game winning streak in which they defeated the Ole Miss Rebels, Texas A&M Aggies, and the Florida Gators. They finish by playing the Tennessee Volunteers before their regular-season finale against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The Volunteers will need a big game from at least one of their big three and star players. I’d expect another takeover game from star forward and high-level prospect Dalton Knecht. Zakai Zeigler will likely have a good game, as he usually does, being the consistent leader that this team needs every game. Zeigler has been electric in all game factors and is overall the most complete player on the court at nearly all times.
