Contract Details for Kevin Steele Revealed

Moments ago, Tennessee officially announced the hire of Kevin Steele as a defensive assistant, and his contract details have now been revealed.
Steele will earn $450,000 annually for two-years. With incentives, he could reach $500,000. The news was first reported by David Ubben.
Prior to coming to Tennessee, Steele was earning $2.5 million a year, and he was the highest-paid coordinator in all of college football.
"Linda and I are excited to be coming home," Steele said. "Tennessee is a special place to me personally. I am truly grateful to Coach Pruitt and Coach Fulmer for this opportunity, and I am eager to get to work alongside them once again. I look forward to helping create an environment where our players are successful and truly embrace what it means to be a Volunteer."
Pruitt and Steele have a strong relationship dating back to Pruitt's first year in the coaching ranks. Pruitt has commented on that before. “Kevin was very patient with me as a young coach and very instrumental in helping me kind of get going a little bit in my career,” Pruitt said earlier this year. “I’m very thankful for that opportunity, and he’s a good friend of mine.”
