The NFL Draft countdown is now at single digits. 200+ former college football players are about to have their lives changed in the next week and a half. One of those prospects is Hendon Hooker, the 2022 SEC Offensive Player of the Year.

The Volunteer quarterback has been shooting up the team's draft boards, according to a multitude of NFL insiders, and this is without being able to perform physically. Coming off of a torn ACL, Hooker has had to rely on his interviews and football knowledge to sell himself to NFL teams. One team with Hendon on the radar is the Tennessee Titans of all teams.

Today, Hooker will visit the team, one of his final interviews, as we come down the stretch. The team currently has two signal callers on the roster, but both have question marks. Ryan Tannehill is a veteran that has been with the team since 2019 and has had an AFC Title Game run, as well as earning the top AFC seed in 2021. However, Tannehill's contract may be disproportionate to his performance at this point, and he has been labeled as a trade or cut candidate.

The other Quarterback on the team is Malik Willis, who the team selected with their third-round pick in last year's draft. Willis saw action in 2022, and it was less than ideal. In 3 starts, Willis completed just over 50% of his passes, with five turnovers and one Touchdown.

Willis is no safe bet, and Hooker has the kind of upside that could warrant his selection even with a young QB on the roster, similar to the way Arizona picked Kyler Murray the year after Josh Rosen. Hooker was recently mocked to the Titans after trading up for the 11th pick in a recent Peter Schrager mock draft.

As we near the big night, Hooker's puzzle pieces are coming together. As the 25-year-old finishes up his interviews, the Titans are a team to monitor closely. Could Hendon find himself staying in Tennessee? Only time will tell.
