By this point, everyone following the NFL Draft and the process that has led up to it knows the name Jalin Hyatt. On top of that, every College Football fan knows, as well. They can all recognize that Hyatt is an excellent football player who knows how to ball.

With that being said, he has had one of the foggiest draft projections out of the marquee prospects. After all, Hyatt won the Biletnikoff Award for being the nation's most outstanding wide receiver, yet has not been included in some first-round mock drafts.

Over the last few weeks, Hyatt's stock has seemingly set in the first round. College Football News recently looked at the entire 2023 Draft class of wideouts and ranked them. Among the top five were Josh Downs, Zay Flowers, and Quentin Johnston. At the number 2 spot was Hyatt, beaten out only by the electric Jaxson Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba did not play much in the 2022 season, but he has earned his flowers, so it is not disrespect to Hyatt. It is good for the VFL to have himself ranked so high among a sneaky deep receiver class.

Hyatt has been kept busy by the process. He has met with about "15-20" teams, in his own words, including receiver-needy teams like the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns. Hyatt will likely be one of the players invited to Kansas City for the first round of the Draft on the night of April 27th. For the South Carolina native, he hopes to walk up on that stage with Roger Goodell to kick off a spectacular NFL career.
