Jalin Hyatt Gets The Attention Of Legendary NFL Wide Receiver

Former Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Jalin Hyatt should stand out for the New York Giants this year, and former All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. left him a message.

Former Tennessee standout wide receiver Jalin Hyatt is going into his rookie season with the New York Giants after they selected him in the third round with the No. 73 overall pick in this year's draft. The Giants are no strangers to taking wide receivers early, some of whom have gone on to have big, immediate impacts.

Just last year, they selected Wan'Dale Robinson in the second round. In 2021, they selected Kadarius Toney in the first round. In 2019, it was Darius Slayton. In 2016, it was Sterling Shepard. Most notably, in 2014, it was none other than Odell Beckham Jr. with the 12th overall pick in the draft. After missing the first four games due to injury, the LSU product went on to have the best rookie season for any Giants receiver in their history, recording 91 receptions for 1305 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also made one of the greatest catches of all time in that season.

Odell Beckham Jr. has long been known for his highlight reel plays, a product of his great confidence. Even with how highly he thinks of himself, he is still wary of his Giants' rookie receiving records because of a new receiver in New York: Jalin Hyatt. Hyatt recently watched a video of Beckham Jr. asking the VFL not to break all of his records, showing how much confidence Beckham Jr. has in the rookie receiver. Hyatt is not garnering the attention of a retired Giant. Beckham Jr. is still in the league and taking the time to reach out. Big things are on the way for Hyatt, who will look to find his role in the Giants' receiver room early
