Josh Heupel introduced Tennessee's new defensive assistants earlier today, and the five new members of the Volunteer program was made available to the media after. The group answered questions for almost two hours, and Quavaris Crouch and Henry To'o To'o were discussed throughout the session.

The duo started every game at linebacker last fall before entering the transfer portal this off-season. It is common knowledge that To'o To'o has been taking virtual classes in California and remained a long-shot to return to Knoxville, but Crouch has remained around the Tennessee program and was even featured in a recent workout video from the university. But it appears he is no longer in Knoxville at this time.

We don't have a timeline on those guys. They're not here, obviously, at this point, so we're super excited about the guys that are here in this program that are working," Defensive Coordinator Tim Banks said." But we'll figure that out as we go, but right now, we're just concerned with the guys that are here."

Inside Linebacker's coach, Brian Jean-Mary reiterated Bank's message but did elaborate a little further.

"I've had conversations with them, but with them being in the portal, my focus has been the guys that are here. The room with the guys that are here has been fine," Jean-Mary said. "I mean, that's just part of football, and you guys all know that from covering football, no matter how well or how thoughtfully planned-out something is, between injuries and other circumstances, you have to go with the guys that are available, and that's kind of how we're looking at it."

"Obviously, those two are great players, and we'll see what happens with them obviously in the future, but right now, I'm focusing on the guys that are with us, and like I said, they've been great. They've been great and have been sponges soaking up everything that we're doing, and I've been very, very happy with the guys that are here going through the weightlifting and the conditioning every day as part of the volunteer program," Jean-Mary added.

One source indicated to VR2 on SI that Crouch has been in discussions with Tennessee's new staff to determine his future positional fit on Rocky Top recently.
