Report: Tennessee LB Under Investigation for Alleged Animal Abuse

It has been a run of bad news for Tennessee in recent weeks, and it appears more is coming their way, after reports have surfaced about linebacker Aaron Beasley being under investigation for alleged animal abuse.

On Saturday morning, a source informed VR2 on SI, Beasley was soon to be named in an investigation related to the assault and serious harm of a 6-month kitten. Later that morning, Beasley's name appeared over social media waves, as the focus of a Go Fund Me Page for a Kitten, who a Tennessee student claimed he had abused while she was away. TMZ Sports reported the story on a national scale earlier today.

"I came home this morning to find my 6 month old kitten under a dresser hiding and not letting anyone touch him. When I picked him up he screamed and couldn’t walk, come to find out my roomates boyfriend had hit and kicked him, locked him in the toilet bowl, and held him upside down by his tail. We rushed Nugget to the emergency room and he has brain damage and will now have a hard time walking, he has a bleeding hemorrhage on his kidney caused from internal bleeding from being kicked, clots in his bladder, and he is currently in an oxygen tank."

The Knoxville police department has confirmed to WBIR that it did receive a report and has opened an investigation into the matter.

The University has not responded for comment at this time. Tennessee recently had four players suspended indefinitely for their involvement in an incident at Stokely Residence Hall.
