In this story:

NIL collectives are an important part of recruiting. With the transfer portal bigger than ever and high schoolers looking to maximize their earnings, programs need a centralized source of revenue for their athletes.

Fortunately, Tennessee has one of the best collectives in the business. The Volunteer Club routinely signs some of the top faces in Tennessee athletics and has even saved some potential portal departures.

In the past two days, they have signed quarterback Joe Milton, running back Jaylen Wright, wide receiver Squirrel White, wide receiver Ramel Keyton, and linebacker Aaron Beasley.

Those are essential players moving forward, and the Volunteer Club has assisted the football program in ensuring these players are compensated. For instance, there were murmurs of Wright hitting the portal before he inked a deal with the collective.

While good football programs will always pride themselves on culture and development, monetary value is at a premium. Those with excellent NIL opportunities, alongside other things, are positioned to make waves.

Tennessee is one of those markets, and that should continue moving forward. The fans and boosters are among the most passionate bases nationally, and the Volunteers are here to stay.
