The Tennessee Volunteers have landed a commitment from Hofstra transfer Darlinstone Dubar.

Hofstra forward Darlinstone Dubar averaged 17.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Pride this season. He led them to a 20-13 record in his fourth season with the program before entering the NCAA Transfer Portal to exercise his final season of eligibility. He was on campus this weekend for an official visit, attending Tennessee's annual "Orange and White" spring football game.

The Vols lost guard Dalton Knecht to the NBA Draft this offseason and had an exodus of players entering the transfer portal. Head coach Rick Barnes needed to retool this roster before the 2024 season, hoping to follow up a historic year for Tennessee with another. They made their second Elite 8 in program history this past season, losing to the Purdue Boilermakers.

Dubar shot 53.9% from the field this past season; he shot 39.9% from behind the three-point line on 5.5 attempts per game. He stands 6-foot-8 and 211 pounds, able to put the ball on the floor and create his own offense.
