The Tennessee Volunteers hosted a camp on Sunday littered with various Power-5 prospects. 2026 quarterback Helaman Casuga (Provo, Utah) walked into a loaded quarterback group and impressed the coaches so much that he left town with an offer. It was Casuga's seventh offer and his second Power-5 scholarship, pairing them with USC.

Casuga caught up with Volunteer Country after the visit and spoke highly of his experience. Though the talented signal caller plays his high school football in Utah, he's based in Hawaii. He took the trip seriously, as he knew Tennessee wanted to see him throw in person. "Although we live in Utah, home for me is really Hawaii. Coming to the east or west coast is all the same. We came out here because Tennessee expressed interest in me and needed to see me in action."

The moment he got the offer was one he wouldn't soon forget, as the Vols made him a priority as soon as he walked off the field. "It was immediately after the camp workouts. I was escorted by recruiting assistant Arron Amaama to meet with Josh Heupel. He explained how impressed he and his staff were with my performance and ability to make tough throws and followed up with the full-ride scholarship." Casuga said that the coaching staff treated him like a priority throughout the day. He noted that they created a comforting environment for him, one where he could be himself around everyone.

These days, there are many reasons to want to play at Tennessee. Casuga noticed a lot of them during his brief time in Knoxville. The town impressed him a lot, as did the coaches. He's also a big fan of Tennessee's up-temp, pace-and-space system. Heupel has produced a lot of talented quarterbacks, and Casuga respects that history. Though he's still quite young, he confirmed that the Vols are an early contender for his services.
