Marshall Pritchett Cuts List To 10 Schools

In this story:
The tight end position will be discussed extensively over the next calendar year in Knoxville, Tennessee. Tennessee went into scramble mode after 2024 four-star tight end commit Jonathan Echols flipped to USF, leaving their already young tight end room even more barren heading into the 2024 season.
The Vols dipped into the transfer portal and added the No. 1 tight end, Notre Dame transfer Holden Staes. He will step in alongside redshirt freshman Ethan Davis, a talented 2023 signee that many are excited about. However, Tennessee must keep stacking depth in upcoming recruiting classes, and they hope to take a tight end or two in the 2025 class.
One of their top targets is 2025 four-star tight end Marshall Pritchett, a Georgia native who cut his list down to ten schools on Friday afternoon. Pritchett will now focus on Auburn, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin. After announcing his finalists, he broke down a potential decision timeline with On3's Chad Simmons.
"I am looking at a decision sometime in the spring. I am going to take as many visits as I can before the next dead period, then try to get it down to five schools in my head and make a decision. The only visit scheduled right now is to Wisconsin on Feb. 4, but I am looking to visit Virginia Tech in mid January and numerous other schools later next month. I think by the end of May, I could have my decision made. That is not locked in, but that is what I have been thinking. I will continue to build relationships, take as many visits as I can, then see how I feel. My plan is to make an early decision, then enroll early with the school I choose." - Marshall Pritchett to On3 about his finalists
