Nicolai Brooks Cuts Down Early Recruitment

In this story:
Offensive tackle is a premium position, and it should be treated as such. Tennessee has invested a lot of resources to ensure they are putting out starting-caliber football players at tackle; otherwise, your quarterback is going to spend much of his Saturdays in the dirt.
They have begun to establish a tradition of putting out strong offensive linemen, and if offensive tackle Darnell Wright becomes a first-round pick, it would only bolster their pitch to prospects. However, it seems one standout tackle has already seen enough to consider the Vols a strong college option.
Nicolai Brooks is a name many college football fans should become acquainted with. The Buford High School product stands a staggering 6-8 and 330 pounds, more than enough to step into the SEC and play right now. He's very much a work in progress, but the flashes of dominance are "five-star" worthy. Major recruiting services have him listed outside the top 100, but that should change as he gets older.
He cut down his recruitment on Monday evening, focusing on ten schools moving forward. Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Iowa, Iowa State, Penn State, Florida, LSU, and Florida State comprise his finalists. The Vols offered him less than two weeks ago, but Brooks is interested enough to feign interest, at least. The in-state Georgia Bulldogs are seen as the favorite, but his recruitment is still very early, especially considering he should continue developing at a premier high school.
