Tennessee Commits, Targets Attending On3 NIL Elite Series

In this story:
NIL is a recurring topic in high school recruiting circles and will continue to be. Programs that can help players monetize their likeness separate themselves from others, as many programs are completely lost. That isn't completely their fault, as the NCAA hasn't provided clear legislation, but the top programs are investing resources into helping athletes understand their value.
The top prospects often take matters into their own hands, as many are doing this summer. On3 is hosting a NIL Elite Series event in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 30-June 1. Seeing as how the event is in Tennessee's home state, there should be many targets and commits attending, especially if the Vols are landing blue-chip prospects. However, there are more than just a few Tennessee commits and targets attending - almost the entire event is made up of players that Tennessee is recruiting. You can see the full list of attendees and a detailed rundown of the event here on On3's website.
- Jake Merklinger, QB (Commit)
- Jerrick Gibson, RB
- Mike Matthews, WR
- Ryan Wingo, WR
- Jaden Reddell, TE (Georgia Commit)
- Brandon Baker, OL
- Carson Gentle, DE (Commit)
- Dylan Stewart, EDGE
- Edwin Spillman, ILB
- Sammy Brown, ILB
- Kaleb Beasley, CB (Commit)
- Boo Carter, ATH
ESPN broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit and LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne are two of the confirmed speakers at the event. On3 Director of Athlete Network Development Grant Frerking detailed the event, saying, "Our goal is to create more opportunities to educate and prepare athletes to navigate a marketplace that is projected to grow to nearly $5 billion over the next few years." Of course, the event could help Tennessee recruit without even being there, as many top prospects will be in close proximity right around official visit season.
